National Philanthropy Day is November 15th, 2017

“Philanthropy is generosity and goodwill in action,” says Chief Development Officer Carolyn L. Baker

Philanthropy is “the love of humankind,” and National Philanthropy Day (NPD) is the day when Step Up joins thousands of people around the world come together to put that word into action and recognize the change that word has brought to our communities. NPD is a celebration of philanthropy highlighting the accomplishments, large and small, of all those involved in the philanthropic process make to our society and our world. Every year, since 1986 when President Ronald Reagan first proclaimed November 15th as National Philanthropy Day, the goal is to increase public interest, awareness, and information on charitable giving, volunteering, and engagement so individuals can practice EFFECTIVE philanthropy.

On National Philanthropy Day 2017,  Step Up gratefully recognizes its 2016 Annual Donors and Honored Lifetime Contributors.

While many people show interest in giving or getting involved, they often need a little reminder about needs and to be inspired by goals and dreams. NPD spurs action, by providing tips and guidance on ways to connect with important causes. Click here to learn ways to support Step Up’s life-changing programs and services.

This NPD, we are inspired by what others are doing around the globe, and want to let our donors’ know how much we appreciate their philanthropic engagement! THANK YOU.
