PEOPLE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS

Los Angeles County is divided into eight geographically-based Service Planning Areas (SPA). Each SPA has homeless services agencies that connect individuals, families and transition-aged youth to resources. Use LA County’s District Locator tool to find out which SPA you’re located in by inputting your location.

Here Are a Few Ways to
Find Services Near You:

Call 211 or Visit 211LA.org

211 LA is the central source for providing information and referrals for all health and human services in LA County.

Request Outreach

Request outreach for yourself or others through Los Angeles Homeless Outreach Portal (LA-HOP). Step Up and other social service agencies have outreach teams throughout LA County that meet people where they are.

Drop-In Services

If you are on the Westside of Los Angeles, visit Step Up at 1328 Second St., Santa Monica, CA 90401

COORDINATED ENTRY SYSTEM (CES)

To be eligible for housing resources, individuals experiencing homelessness will go through an in-take process, so that they can then be connected to available resources within the Coordinated Entry System (CES). To be entered into CES you must first complete an intake survey that will assess your unique needs. This could be done at an Access Point/Center or with Outreach Teams.

You can find contact information for CES lead agencies through LAHSA’s CES Leadership Contact List or by calling (800) 548-6047.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES

Through shelter, support groups, workshops, hotline calls, children’s empowerment programming, legal services and service referrals, Sojourn brings safety, connection and hope to individuals and families.

If you or someone you know has experienced domestic violence and needs to access services, please call Sojourn’s 24-hour hotline at (310) 264-6644.

PEOPLE AT-RISK OF EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS

The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority’s Homelessness Prevention Program provides individuals and families who are at imminent risk of homelessness with financial assistance and housing stabilization services necessary to maintain their current housing or find new housing to avoid becoming homeless.
