Step Up on Second

Opened in 1994, Step Up on Second is Step Up’s first permanent supportive housing development. It provides 36 units of single room occupancy (SRO) permanent housing for adults experiencing serious mental health conditions and chronic homelessness. With major funding provided by the City of Santa Monica, Step Up serves as the service coordinator, mental health provider, and property manager. The ground floor is home to Step Up’s Client Run Center, a nationally recognized psycho-social rehabilitation center.
