Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
Run a Donation Drive
You can help our members by organizing a donation drive today! We need Welcome Kits for new members and Hygiene Kits for those currently experiencing homelessness. In-kind donations of gently used clothing, non-perishable food and supermarket gift cards are always welcomed!
Host a Dinner or Holiday Event
Have your group sponsor and coordinate a dinner or holiday party for residents! You can bring a fun social event to members at one of our locations!
Build a Group Service Day
We offer the option to build a service day that includes gardening or a donation drive. We include fun team building and educational activities for your office, service group, faith group or school! Come take action and learn!
Lead a Cooking Group
Cook your favorite recipe in one of our buildings in a shared community kitchen. You can share important life skills with our members and bring a smile to everyone’s face.
Garden
Volunteer in one of our urban gardens and contribute to growing food and developing usable outdoor spaces with members and staff!
Create Your Own Pro-Bono Project
Share your professional skills by leading a project with members or staff. Contact us regarding current opportunities for event planning, horticulture, arts and crafts, interior design and more!
Clinical Internships
If you are a student interested in a clinical internship, Step Up provides placements for MSW Interns, BSW Interns, MFT Trainees, OT Interns, Art Therapy students, and Peer Interns. Please contact Rachael Radis directly for more information — rradis@stepup.org.
