Originally from Washington, D.C., Mr. Simpkins has been a Step Up member (client) since 2010. In 2011, he moved into Step Up on 5th and last year transitioned to Step Up’s more independent-living project on 26th Street.
Mr. Simpkins is a mathematics major in his third year at Santa Monica College, and plans on transferring to UCLA’s math department next year.
