First elected to the CalSTRS Board in 2007; Mr. Harry Keiley serves as the Chairman of the Investment Committee for the California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS). Previous leadership positions held at CalSTRS include Chairman of the Compensation Committee and Chairman of the Board.
CalSTRS, with more than $250 billion in assets under management (AUM) and more than 800,000 members, is the largest teacher pension fund in the world.
In addition to his work inside the CalSTRS Board Room, Mr. Keiley completed the UCLA Anderson School of Business program for Trustees, the Board Effectiveness Program at the Rotman Business School (University of Toronto) and the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) program.
Mr. Keiley previously served as the President of the Santa Monica Classroom Teachers Association.
Keiley also served as the Chairman of the Political Action Committee for the California Teachers Association.
In 1987, Mr. Keiley began his career as a US Government and Economics teacher and was recognized as the most Inspirational Teacher by his students and peers.
