Hollywood4WRD is a collaborative effort of community members from the non-profit, governmental, and business sectors working together to end homelessness in the Hollywood community. Step Up on Second is participating with the committed members of Hollywood 4WRD this week to conduct the Hollywood Registry alongside Common Ground as part of their “100,000 Homes Campaign”. Through the use of Common Ground’s Vulnerability Index Survey, volunteers of Hollywood4WRD will create a by-name registry of individuals sleeping outside in Hollywood this week. Teams will be going out 3:30am – 6:30am this Monday thru Wednesday.
The results of the Hollywood Registry will help identify the individuals who are at the greatest risk of dying and who are the most in need of supportive housing resources. This “housing first” model saves lives, promotes recovery, and benefits the entire community through an immediate visible reduction in street homelessness and the use of high cost emergency services.

The public will be invited to attend the debriefing on the Hollywood Registry, this Friday, April 30th.
