Hope and recovery are the outcomes of Step Up’s 3 core strategies!
Permanent Supportive Housing: In alignment with Opening Doors, the Federal Strategic Plan to prevent and end homelessness, and the Housing First model, Step Up improves access to and use of supportive housing, and expands the supply of permanent supportive housing to bring the stability, inclusion, and sense of belonging that leads to recovery for adults and transitional aged youth (18-28 years of age) experiencing mental health issues.
Vocational Training and Employment: Productivity is an important aspect of quality of life. Step Up offers coaching and mentoring opportunities including pre-vocational training, techniques for job interviews, work adjustment, employment preparation, and job placement.
Supportive Services: Member-driven support programs such as the Client Run Center (CRC), and recovery-oriented clinical services such as the Field Capable Clinical Services (FCCS) provide support and empowerment for members to achieve their self-determined goals.
