Opening in 2023, the Step Up in Asheville motel conversion project will provide 115 units of permanent supportive housing and onsite case management to those experiencing chronic homelessness in Buncombe County. Step Up’s first development in North Carolina, it is expected to drastically decrease the area’s population currently experiencing homelessness.
