Step Up’s operations have increased three-fold since 2015. A staff of over 350 is working collectively to support individuals with serious mental health conditions and those experiencing homelessness across California and in the Southeastern U.S., specifically in greater-Atlanta, Georgia, in Sanford, Florida, and most recently in Nashville, Tennessee. The bulk of Step Up’s operating budget is secured with government grants, but there is a gap in funding to support all needs of the agency and the individuals it serves.
Each fiscal year, Step Up must secure a minimum of 10% of its operating budget in private funding.
